I closed my eyes and felt as if a knife were piercing my heart. I would not like to watch how the people I loved caring for others and loathing me. "This is my office. Please go to the reception room." After opening my eyes again, I still insisted. Easton sneered, pushed me away, and said sternly, "Madeleine, do you think that because you are my wife now, and the Moore family is yours? You don't deserve it!" These few words were like a basin of cold water pouring down on me, sending a chill down my spine. I stepped back and watched as he carried her into my bathroom. He was right. This was the Moore family's place, and it didn't belong to me. Easton opened the wardrobe, handed her a set of my clothes with the tags still on, and whispered, "Go and take a hot bath. Otherwise, you'll catch a cold later." "Easton, it's not that I don't wear Madeleine's clothes. You know, I am allergic and can only wear bespoke clothes ..." Jessa said with an embarrassed look on her face as she held up the dress. "Is that a private custom shop on Icowell Mountain? I'll pick it up right away." With that, Easton headed out of the door. "Easton, oh I suddenly feel so dizzy." Jessa held her forehead and collapsed into his arms. Easton held her in his arms, and when he looked up to see me still standing there, he said coldly, "You go to Icowell Mountain and fetch Jessa a suit." His tone was direct and overbearing, not allowing me to refuse. There was still a thunderstorm outside. He felt sorry for Jessa, but it never occurred to him that I would get wet too. Easton took it for granted and looking at his face, I didn't know how to tell him how unsafe it was for me, a woman, to drive from Pestin to Icowell when there was thunder, lightning, and torrential rain outside and even taxis were out of service. I knew that he wouldn't care about that at all. All he cared about was that Jessa had to wear the private custom-made dress. I suppressed the sadness in my heart and finally lifted my legs to walk outside. They said that love was cruel and whoever was first in love lost. I fell in love with Easton from the first moment I saw him, so I was destined to be humble in front of him. The sky was as gloomy as my mood as the rain poured down. Visibility was less than five meters and I could only drive by instinct. Luckily, there was no one on the street and no cars. Two hours later, when I returned to the office with the clothes, Jessa was sitting nicely on the sofa in my outfit. Easton was sitting next to her and was blow-drying her hair with a hairdryer. "Easton, try this grape. As ugly as it looks, I didn't expect it to taste so good." She fed the grape in her hand to his mouth. Those were my grapes. Probably because of my pregnancy, I suddenly craved grapes from my hometown these days. Isabel brought me a full box, which arrived yesterday, and I hadn't had time to open it. He smiled, looked up, opened his mouth, and ate them, then said gently, "Since you like them, take them all home with you later." He smiled and looked at her dotingly. Such an interaction was warm and sweet, and they were very much like a couple in love. "They're a good match, aren't they?" A gloating voice came from behind me. I froze and turned around to see James, Easton's best friend, looking at me with a smirk. "Yeah, so you're doomed to be a fan." I laughed gently. Except in front of Easton, I was quite a mean talker. James was a loyal follower of Jessa. For Easton's sake and hers, he targeted me a lot, so I didn't show any mercy. "You..." I hit him where it hurts, so James left in anger. "Madeleine, you're back." At the sound of my voice, Jessa turned her head and said with an innocent look on her face, "I was just about to ask you where you bought your clothes. I'm surprised I don't have any allergies when I wear it. It's just amazing." "So, you don't need this one, do you?" I turned around and threw the bag in my hand into the trash. Jessa immediately stopped smiling and looked ashamed, then lowered her head and sobbed softly, "Madeleine, I'm so sorry for making you come all this way for nothing. Don't be angry with Easton. He just let you go because he was afraid that my allergies would delay my work."
